Welcome to Year 5SW!

This year, you’ll have two fantastic teachers helping you learn and grow. Mrs Sains will be teaching you at the beginning of the week, and Miss Wade will take over towards the end of the week.

This year is packed with exciting learning, creative projects, and new challenges. We’ll be exploring lots of interesting topics across all subjects – here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up!

English

Writing: Through exploring books such as Race to the Frozen North, The Lost Happy Endings, and Kai and the Monkey King. Later in the year, we’ll explore Malala’s Magic Pencil, The Paperbag Prince, and even some Shakespeare!
Reading: We’ll start with Varjak Paw and discover more brilliant books as the year goes on.
